As part of its humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of displaced and vulnerable families in the Gaza Strip, Amwaj Association for Community Development has implemented a project aimed at providing safe and clean drinking water for the residents of Al-Salam Camp, especially displaced and poor families. The residents of Al-Salam Camp face a continuous shortage of potable water due to difficult living conditions, which leads to health risks such as waterborne diseases, including diarrhea and skin infections. Therefore, the association’s initiative aims to ensure that families have access to clean and safe water for drinking and daily use. The project included the following measures: Distribution of sterilized, safe drinking water to displaced families, focusing on the most vulnerable households. Provision of water tanks and safe storage equipment to ensure that water remains clean and uncontaminated. Health awareness campaigns about the importance of drinking clean water and safe methods of storage and use. Coordination with local partners to ensure the continuous supply of water and regular monitoring of its quality. This initiative aims to protect the health of displaced families and improve their living conditions, reflecting Amwaj Association’s commitment to supporting the local community and enhancing life in the camps, especially under emergency humanitarian circumstances.
