As part of a collaboration between the Amwaj Community Development Association, which contributes to the International Red Cross (ICRC), an awareness activity was carried out to promote community awareness there about a number of important health and humanitarian details, where awareness distributions were distributed that included guidelines for combating Corona, even from the transmission of the Coronavirus, in addition to important information about the complete control of suspicious factors and the absence of conflicts in some areas.The implementation of this activity came as part of joint efforts to promote a culture of prevention and safety among community members, especially in light of the health and humanitarian challenges faced by the population, and the commitment of the partner entities to disseminate correct knowledge that helps protect individuals and families from potential risks. The brochures included a set of simplified instructions explaining personal prevention methods, the importance of adhering to health measures, such as general hygiene and distancing when necessary, as well as raising awareness about the dangers of approaching any unknown objects or remnants of wars that may pose a threat to the lives of citizens.The activity also targeted various segments of society, including youth, children, and the elderly, by providing information in an easy and clear way that helps in understanding and applying it in daily life. The staff and volunteers contributed to conveying awareness messages to citizens and emphasizing the importance of the community's role in spreading awareness among its members. Amwaj Association for Development and Community Development, with the support of the Islamic Relief Foundation in Gaza, carried out a meat distribution activity as part of the 2020 Qurbani project, coinciding with the blessed Eid al-Adha, within the framework of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support needy families and enhance social solidarity within the Palestinian community. The association worked on distributing 100 portions of Qurbani meat targeting 100 families of needy and modest means in several areas of the Gaza Strip, with a focus on the most needy families, especially given the difficult economic and living conditions many families are experiencing. This activity aimed to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of these families during the Eid days and to help them meet part of their food needs. The distribution process was carried out according to an organized mechanism that ensures aid reaches its rightful recipients fairly and systematically, with the association team and volunteers preparing and distributing the portions to the beneficiary families while observing the necessary organizational and health procedures during the distribution process. This activity is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives and projects implemented by Amwaj Association for Development.The association, in collaboration with its supporting partners, aims to alleviate the suffering of needy families and promote a spirit of solidarity and mutual support among community members. The Amwaj Association for Community Development and Advancement launched a humanitarian initiative to support needy families in the Gaza Strip, distributing 300 aid parcels that benefited 300 families in need. This initiative came within the framework of ongoing efforts to ease the difficult living burdens faced by many families, especially given the challenging economic and humanitarian conditions in the region. The distributed parcels included a set of basic food items that families need in their daily lives, such as rice, flour, oil, sugar, and canned goods, in addition to various clothing items provided to match the needs of family members, which contributed to bringing joy and reassurance to the beneficiaries. This activity was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Social Development and generous funding from the Arab Republic of Egypt, reflecting this joint cooperation in the spirit of solidarity and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people, and the commitment of supporting entities to assist the most needy groups. Vision: To establish a comprehensive youth union that works on empowering youth by developing their skills in freelance work and enhancing the spirit of community participation, contributing to building a cohesive society capable of facing challenges. Project Proposal: Youth are considered an important human resource for the progress of nations and peoples. A society that possesses this valuable asset possesses strength, vitality, and progress over other nations, as they form a strategic reserve capable of facing all current and future economic, political, and social challenges. Moreover, youth are the most affected group in Palestinian society and the latent force capable of driving change and building the future. These young people will also be involved as mentors for a new batch by transferring knowledge to this new group, which will enhance their skills, increase their confidence, and create a sustainable learning environment. Young people will also participate in workshops and dialogue sessions to discuss their issues and priorities, helping them freely express their ideas and strengthening their role in social development and belonging through networking and cooperation with civil society institutions. To ensure the sustainability of the union's activities and goals, there will be a monthly membership for union members who are selected according to specific criteria and conditions, for a nominal fee, contributing to the continuity of the union's goals and activities and reinvesting the amount in implementing advanced youth training and developmental consultations in areas proposed by the members.Themselves or targeting new graduates with the aim of improving and developing their professional and intellectual performance. On the other hand, implementing community initiatives and activities such as carrying out a volunteer initiative for children with disabilities on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, or commemorating Earth Day and other national and international occasions to enhance the spirit of belonging, in addition to covering part of the administrative expenses after the completion of the project. The project will include continuously publishing and documenting project activities through the interaction of young members and preparing videos about their achievements and the realized results and sharing them on social media platforms. A youth union that enhances young people's capabilities in freelance work, focuses on the skills necessary to develop income-generating businesses and projects, and develops their abilities to participate in community activities, has been established. 2. Alternative solutions to address the electricity and internet crisis that young people face, which hinders them from achieving their dreams and ambitions, have been provided. 3. Job opportunities for youth through online freelance work for those who have the skills but have not been successful in obtaining employment in the local market, have been provided. 4. My monthly income for the association contributes to implementing ongoing training in the field of freelance work and community activities for youth members. 6. As part of its humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of displaced and vulnerable families in the Gaza Strip, Amwaj Association for Community Development has implemented a project aimed at providing safe and clean drinking water for the residents of Al-Salam Camp, especially displaced and poor families. The residents of Al-Salam Camp face a continuous shortage of potable water due to difficult living conditions, which leads to health risks such as waterborne diseases, including diarrhea and skin infections. Therefore, the association’s initiative aims to ensure that families have access to clean and safe water for drinking and daily use. The project included the following measures: Distribution of sterilized, safe drinking water to displaced families, focusing on the most vulnerable households. Provision of water tanks and safe storage equipment to ensure that water remains clean and uncontaminated. Health awareness campaigns about the importance of drinking clean water and safe methods of storage and use. Coordination with local partners to ensure the continuous supply of water and regular monitoring of its quality. This initiative aims to protect the health of displaced families and improve their living conditions, reflecting Amwaj Association’s commitment to supporting the local community and enhancing life in the camps, especially under emergency humanitarian circumstances.

Amwaj Association for Community Development and Improvement, in partnership with Gaza Group for Culture and Development Association, carried out a humanitarian activity that involved distributing blankets to affected families in Al-Salam Camp, north of the Gaza Strip, as part of efforts to support the most needy families and alleviate their suffering amid the difficult humanitarian and economic conditions that residents of the area are experiencing. This activity was implemented after identifying the needs of a large number of families suffering from harsh living conditions, especially with the drop in temperatures and the lack of basic materials that help them withstand the winter cold. The initiative targeted the affected and most vulnerable families, including those living in simple homes or lacking basic living necessities. Field teams and volunteers from both associations worked on preparing the blankets and organizing the distribution process in an orderly manner to ensure that the aid reached its rightful recipients according to clear criteria based on the social and humanitarian status of the beneficiary families. Coordination was also made with local authorities and community committees within the camp to identify the families most in need. The project "Youth Engagement in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding in the Gaza Strip" comes in response to the urgent need to empower the youth and enhance their role in building a more cohesive society capable of facing challenges. The youth represent a significant force in Palestinian society, and they are the most capable of effecting positive change when provided with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and opportunities. From this perspective, the project seeks to develop the capacities of Palestinian youth in the field of conflict transformation and peacebuilding culture, through training programs and practical activities that help them understand the nature of conflicts and how to deal with them in peaceful and constructive ways. The project aims to prepare youth to be active members of their community, capable of positive engagement with their peers, and leading initiatives and community activities that promote the spirit of cooperation and understanding among community members. The project also focuses on instilling values of tolerance, dialogue, and respect for diversity, and works to spread a culture of resolving disputes peacefully, away from violence or escalation. The project believes that peacebuilding begins within the community and from the youth's ability to manage differences in an aware and responsible manner.
